Consumer health data privacy notice

Applies to the Rapport app · Effective 17 October 2026

Rapport is operated by Rapport Science, Inc. This notice explains how we handle personal information that is consumer health data under the Washington My Health My Data Act or Nevada law (SB 370). It supplements our App privacy policy, which describes everything Rapport handles.

What we collect and why

Depending on what you use and choose to share, we collect:

We receive this information from you, from recordings or text a person submits that include you, and from what we derive from those sources. We process it through automated transcription and analysis and store it to provide the requested service. Our service providers process it on our behalf for those purposes.

What we share

We share recordings with speech-transcription providers; recordings, text and derived information with hosting and storage providers; and text and derived information with automated-analysis providers, as needed for the purposes above. Account identifiers and consent information may accompany this data where needed to provide the service. The App privacy policy names each provider.

Apart from those service providers, we do not share consumer health data with any other third party, except where the law requires us to.

Rapport Science, Inc. has no affiliates. No affiliate receives consumer health data.

No third party collects consumer health data over time and across different websites or online services through Rapport.

We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

How long we keep it

Your choices and requests

Inside the app you can delete one conversation, remove your voiceprint, turn the mood tracker off, export your account record and delete your whole account.

Email privacy@rapportscience.com to:

You can also use that email address to review your information and request a correction. We will explain whether and how the requested change can be made.

You can make a request if you have no account, including if a recording or text submitted by another person contains your information. Tell us enough to locate the information. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity and your request. You can use an existing account; creating a new account is not required.

For Washington requests, we will complete your request without undue delay and within 45 days of receipt, subject to the verification and backup provisions below. For Nevada requests, we will respond without undue delay and within 45 days after verification. If reasonably necessary, we may extend that period once by up to 45 days and will explain why within the initial period. Nevada deletion requests have a separate deadline: we will delete the requested data from active records and notify recipients within 30 days after verification. Washington deletion includes notifying recipients and deleting the data from our records. Where restoring from an archive or backup would otherwise delay deletion, the limit is six months after verification for Washington and two years for Nevada.

We provide information without charge for at least two requests each year and for other requests as required by law. Any permitted fee for an excessive, repetitive or manifestly unfounded request will be explained.

Appeal a decision

To appeal a refusal, email privacy@rapportscience.com with the subject "Privacy appeal" and the decision you want reviewed. We will give you a written decision and reasons within 45 days of receiving your appeal. If we deny it, we will provide the relevant state attorney general's complaint contact or online complaint route.

Changes to this notice

If what we collect, why, or who receives it changes materially, we will say so on this page and, where it affects you, tell you before the change takes effect, and we will obtain any required consent before the new collection, use or sharing begins.
